In 2019, upon finishing high school, I decided to enroll in an intensive programming bootcamp called "Escuela de Javascript" offered by Platzi.

This program was both in-person and online, lasting for 3 months. The goal was to build a full-stack web product using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) with a partner to make it a collaborative effort.

At the end of the 3 months, I presented CachorroStays, a website where users could host their pets in a healthy environment when their owners were traveling.

It was a great experience as I presented the project in front of over 100 classmates and teachers.

On December 24th, 2019, Platzi sent me a letter informing me that I had been selected to be part of the first generation of Platzi Master.

Platzi Master is an education program composed of the top 100 students on the platform. Its goal is to enhance and refine both the technical and soft skills of its students so they can secure great jobs in technology or drastically improve their incomes.

Platzi Master was a very challenging stage for me, as I had to study hard every day. I took courses, attended personalized classes, and worked on personal projects with a technical instructor, while also improving my soft skills by practicing with another instructor specialized in interview processes and job vacancies.

Later on, I began working on team projects with some of my classmates and teachers. This was very beneficial for me as everything was done in a very professional manner, almost like in a real job.

I also participated in the Platzi Master Hackathon, where I spent 48 hours developing an enhancement to the Platzi Master platform alongside several of my classmates.

In the end, all this effort paid off, and in a little over a year, I landed my first job as a Fullstack Developer Jr.
